2014 TRIP TO NZ AND PERTH AUSTRALIA 7 WEEKS COUNT DOWN TO OUR TRIP

Preparations for our trip is going well.

Fred is testing Portable Antenna and putting together mobile whips and antenna mounts.

I have started writing up list of items to take with us - I have even started a shopping list for when we arrive after we pickup the camper.

We are most looking forward to meeting up with Mick & Rita ZL1HJ in Te Kuiti who have visited us when they came to England and we keep in contact via Radio and Skype.

recently contacted ZL2US Rob Hawkes Bay - we were already heading in that direction to visit Napier were Ra y & Leone reside and visit Leone mum  who lives in Hastings. By co incidence there is a speedway track at Hawkes Bay where there is a meeting on the 15th March with Stock Cars and Sidecars racing

Other radio amateurs we plan to visit ZL1SQV Stan  ex G3SQV, ZL1GA Gary, ZL1ACE Steve 

We leave home 3rd March 22.00 from Heathrow arrive 5th in Auckland NZ our most interesting task, not to miss is meet up with Fred's cousin Liz who is already in NZ on holiday she is due to fly home on the 9th March, now we have to be near Auckland by the 8th.
